Everlasting Summer Story Review

Everlasting Summer is a free-to-play Russian visual novel by Soviet Games  released in 2014. In May 2017, Soviet Games, the developers of the very popular free-to-play visual novel, Everlasting Summer, started a thread on the Super Star Steam Discussion forum stating that SakuraGame has taken backgrounds from Everlasting Summer without permission and used it in their game, while also selling it on the Community Market.

Despite the show of goodwill towards any prospective buyer, SakuraGame has never gone back to improve any of the third party titles they published, leaving them in the same messy (and sometimes unplayable) state they were initially when they first appeared on Steam.

The background art is really beautiful and even the opening animated intro impressed me. I do appreciate other art styles but I crave consistency especially if it's within the game, because it can mess with a lot of the game's momentum and feel. For all time, 0% of the 0 user reviews for Everlasting Summer are positive. It's not a Scrappy Doo situation where the plot's all Oh aren't these annoying character traits charming?” A good example is Semyon himself. For me, Everlasting Summer ended up being an exercise in seeing if I can still enjoy a story if I didn't like any of the characters.

Summary : Everlasting Summer is a visual novel from russian developers that offers very sincere and bright emotions about the days past and hopes yet to come true. Stuck in this Camp with Him trying to get out or Interact with the Characters around him. In addition, Kimihiro Abe received the opportunity to create two noteworthy compositions, the tropical guitar-led "Villa of Everlasting Summer" and the playful Sakimoto-influenced "Rapids of Clear Autumn Water".

They carry out their archetypes, their one feature that defines them complete with silly anime expressions, and occasionally get serious and talk about their feelings whenever it's about time to start sexy time because the player inserted enough kindness coins.

The writing is thick enough and strong enough to keep me interested, and the mystery really drove my interest after the romance ran dry on me. I personally disliked most of the characters, and that actually ended up making my enjoyment of the story even stronger.

Thank you for bringing it to iOS, I played the pc version and that was too good for words. Meeting Semyon, the game's main character, you would've never paid attention to him. One of the things that people will have noticed is that I tend to criticize free games for being too short.

Including access to beta-versions, a physical artbook, its version signed by the development team, and even the ability to design your own in-game character. To understand what happened to him, Semyon will have to get to know the local inhabitants (and maybe FunnyCommentary even find love), find his way in the complex labyrinth of human relationships and his own problems and solve the camp's mysteries.

Not only that, but the game also has quite the history on Eastern European imageboards, since it spent a lot of time in development. You might be interested in taking a look at our first game, Everlasting Summer, that was a huge success and the most downloaded visual novel ever on Steam.
